Cas Blog 3-7-21 (Activity)
Today I went to a protest for the River Oak Theater. Unfortunately, the theater has fallen behind on its rent payments, and the company that owns the land is trying to close it. The theater is one of the only theaters in Houston that shows independent and art films, and also the only one that does Rocky Horror Picture Show screenings too. I don't want to see this wonderful Houston landmark go to the wayside, so I went out to a protest organized by the people who perform Rocky Horror Picture Show at the theater. It was my first time seeing almost any of them in nearly a year, but it was definitely good to see them all again. They were all carrying signs and wearing their costumes, and I was really happy to see there were so many people there that don't want to see the theater go. Apparently, over 100 people showed up at the protest, which is really surprising to hear about. Don't worry though, it was socially distanced, and everybody was wearing their masks. It was really ...
