CAS Blog 11-13-19 (Service)
Over the weekend, I got to do lots of good service by participating in my brothers' Eagle Scout project. The project was at a place called Willow River Farms, which is a residency place for the mentally handicapped. Our goal of the project was to clean and stain four decks on one of the buildings so that they would look new. The place was about 45 minutes away from my house, and all of us participating in the project packed into a big van to get over there. Once we got there we unpacked all of our stuff, and Ethan started guiding us on what to do. At first, we cleaned the decks of any loose paint or leaves that might have been on it so it wouldn't get covered in stain and leave open spots on the deck. Once we cleaned all of the them, we taped the walls so that the stain wouldn't get on to the walls, which took a while.
