Cas blog 1-7-21 (Activity)
For the first activity of the new year, I went to a protest after the attack on the capitol on January 6th. I was horrified by what happened at the capitol, and I knew that I had to do something to protest what happened. Originally I was planning on protesting by myself outside of senator Cornyn's office, but then I learned of a protest happening with other people that I decided to join. I made a sign that said "Stop Trump, defend democracy" and I stood at a busy intersection for a few hours calling for the impeachment of Trump. It made me feel a lot better to get my voice out like that and be seen fighting for something that I know is right.
Learning outcome 6: The attack on the capitol happened only two days ago, and I went protesting the day after it happened. I also intend on going to another protest sometime soon if they're planning on having any.
